I think that I probably should have written about this about a year ago, but better late than never.

Once I started using flex i no longer had access to the NetConnection Debugger that is part of flash 8 and so I tried a few different methods to captures http requests / responses, but I think that I like Charles the best. I really like the way it groups the requests by the sites and also that it has bandwidth throttling. I have used that on more than one project over the last year.

It is available as shareware, so you get a 30 day trial and aside from the app shutting down every 30 minutes while on trial it’s fully functional. The price tag is only $50 and I think it is well worth it.
